At Houlihan, we believe social value is about creating meaningful, lasting impact in the communities where we work. That’s why we were proud to support The Royal Harbour Academy by improving their school allotment.
The academy, based on two sites close to our Manston Green development, provides education for a diverse community of young people.
With more than 60% of students coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, the school places strong emphasis on giving every student the chance to develop practical skills, build confidence, and explore new opportunities.
Transforming the school allotment
These improvements mean more students can safely take part in outdoor learning. Working hands-on to understand food, sustainability, and the environment.
Building community value
Projects like this demonstrate the positive impact that can be achieved when businesses and schools collaborate.
By improving the allotment and providing careers guidance, Houlihan is helping The Royal Harbour Academy give their students both a safer, more inspiring environment to learn in today, and the knowledge to consider new opportunities tomorrow.
