Tom Hardy – London Marathon 2024

On Sunday the 21st of April, I will be taking on the London Marathon 2024 for the fourth and final time. I am running the London Marathon to raise money to support the fantastic work the Samaritan’s carry out every single day.

As some of you may recall, I had the incredible opportunity to run for Samaritans in October 2022 and thanks to the amazing support of colleagues, friends and family, I had the honour of being one of the top fundraisers – a target for this year too!

Christopher Cox – London Marathon

I have seen how important it is to have support in times of need, and the incredible role the Samaritan’s play.

I ran my first Half Marathon last April which was out of my comfort zone, and now I want to go a step further with a big fundraising target.

I lost a friend with depression which opened my awareness to Mental Health and wanting to help wherever I can.

Please support me in my journey by helping with my fundraising.

CALA NHC – Running for Samaritans

The work Samaritans do is more crucial at the moment whilst we are in ‘Lockdown 3.0’. Many people are feeling isolated this year due to social distancing and travel restrictions. They may have lost a loved one to coronavirus or feel anxious about the current circumstances. Samaritans provide a 24-hour helpline, 365 days a year, to lend an ear to those who feel they have nowhere else to turn. To visit their donation page click here.

Scott Dunbar – London Marathon April 2020

In the summer of last year one of my good friends Michael aged 37, passed away after being diagnosed with Bowel Cancer less than a year before which was absolutely devastating, leaving behind his wife Hannah and his 3-year-old son Arthur.

Michael was a great bloke who lived life to the full, loved keeping fit and had a passion for running. On several occasions, he applied for the London Marathon but was never successful.

In his memory and to raise awareness and money for this great cause, I decided to apply for the London Marathon along with 4 other good friends and his wife Hannah.

Before applying, I can’t remember the last time I have ran more than 5k, so the thought of 26.2 miles was a daunting challenge. Training hasn’t exactly gone to plan as I got a stress fracture on my foot before Christmas. With only 12 weeks I am back training but now need to start getting some miles under my belt.

Any help to achieve our combined team target of 15k, and words of encouragement when you see me would be greatly appreciated.
