Scott Dunbar – London Marathon April 2020
In the summer of last year one of my good friends Michael aged 37, passed away after being diagnosed with Bowel Cancer less than a year before which was absolutely devastating, leaving behind his wife Hannah and his 3-year-old son Arthur.
Michael was a great bloke who lived life to the full, loved keeping fit and had a passion for running. On several occasions, he applied for the London Marathon but was never successful.
In his memory and to raise awareness and money for this great cause, I decided to apply for the London Marathon along with 4 other good friends and his wife Hannah.
Before applying, I can’t remember the last time I have ran more than 5k, so the thought of 26.2 miles was a daunting challenge. Training hasn’t exactly gone to plan as I got a stress fracture on my foot before Christmas. With only 12 weeks I am back training but now need to start getting some miles under my belt.
Any help to achieve our combined team target of 15k, and words of encouragement when you see me would be greatly appreciated.

As the Construction Director for CALA NHC, I was especially proud that you have helped raise such considerable monies for our charity and you made it our best golf day yet.

Crest Nicholson – Top Gun Pair at Goodwood
Just to let you know that yesterday’s experience was absolutely amazing!
The weather initially wasn’t looking great but eventually both ‘Dead Meat’ (myself) and ‘Extra Meat’ (Keeley) got the go ahead!
We flew up to about 3,000ft and proceeded to experience up to 4.5g and 0g, barrel rolls and engage in pursued ‘combat’.
For the record I connected more ‘shots’ but my re arranged internal organs couldn’t take anymore and I was forced to make use of all facilities, including the pre packed sick bag zipped in the lower part of my flight suit.
All in all, a bloody good day! Thank you once again!
.
